I am delighted to share with you that Nadia Simpson has joined us in our newly created position of Business Development Executive. This is a positive step forward for the business and a position we had planned to fill some time ago but were prevented from doing so due to Covid-related issues.
Nadia will work closely with Clare and I over the coming weeks to acquire a solid understanding of the business and while teasing a number of business development tasks away from Clare and I. From my perspective, I am excited about rolling out a number of initiatives which are long overdue and should deliver a wider range of support solutions to our clients.
So as not to stick out from the crowd, Nadia will be working remotely from home for now! Home is currently in Ayr but a move to Glasgow may take place in the near future. Nadia has recently achieved a first class honours in Business from Strathclyde Business School and was an ideal match for what we had described in our person specification (written in March!). And, her significant fund-raising for a national charity showed her as someone with the type of attitude we were keen to attract.
I am very pleased that we have attracted someone of Nadia’s quality and I am sure that she will be well received by our clients and that she will make a great impact on our business.
