The old Health and Safety poster expires on 5 April 2014
As part of HSE’s commitment to make health and safety information more accessible, we have published a simplified version of the Health and Safety Law poster. The changes make it easier for employers as they no longer have to enter and maintain written information on their poster.
The life of the previous health and safety law poster comes to an end on 5 April 2014. After that date, employers must either give all their staff a copy of a leaflet – free to download from HSE’s website – OR display the newer version of the poster, launched in 2009.
The changes mean that you no longer have to add contact details of your enforcing authority and HSE’s Employment Medical Advisory Service on the new poster. You can add details of any employee safety representatives or other health and safety contacts, but this is not compulsory.
