Session Two
How does Data Protection Law impact on recruitment and internal staff management at independent schools?
Applications for employment involve handling personal data about candidates, often including special category personal data about health and also potentially criminal offence data.
Whether recruitment is handled by an independent school or a third-party (such as an external agency or consultant), there are data protection law compliance issues raised.
This module provides a summary of key data protection law compliance requirements for schools handling staff and candidate personal data.
Participants will engage with a case study to learn how to handle situations which arise and share knowledge about the compliance issues raised.
