Navigator Seminar
Thank you to everyone who attended our Employment Law update seminar at the Bonham Hotel in Edinburgh on 29 March. We very much enjoyed catching up with existing clients and meeting others for the first time. We will contact all attendees by e-mail next week to announce the winner of the competition run in conjunction with the Bonham Hotel, to win a meal for two in their lovely restaurant. For newsletter subscribers who were unable to attend, the session was introduced by Navigator’s Managing Director, Gareth McKnight. There then followed a comprehensive overview of the TUPE service provision changes by Alan Sutherland, our Head of Employment Law and an interesting outline of the implications of pensions auto-enrolment by our Pensions Law Consultant, Amanda Wyper. To conclude the main presentation, Alan also provided a thought-provoking update on legislation, employment tribunal process changes, recent employment cases and other potential amendments to the law which are being considered. To round off the session, Alan and Amanda were joined by Wendy Meiklejohn, Associate Director HR Projects to answer any burning employment law, pensions or HR questions.
