Data Protection – Video / CCTV surveillance – New guidance from the ICO

On 24th February, the UK’s Information Commissioners Office (ICO) released new guidance on video surveillance technologies and how data protection laws apply to CCTV, facial recognition technology and other commercially available technologies such as dash cams and smart doorbells when they are used in the public and private sector.
